WE ARE SO PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE HAD 2 AMAZING ATTENDERS LAST WEEK!!
A huge congratulations to Y2RK and Y3OS who managed a fantastic 100% last week!!
Keep it up guys, your attendance has been improving every week and we are so please you are our winners this week!
It has been so wonderful to see so many children winning their awards for the kindness they have shown to their peers.
Congratulations to everyone and keep up the hard work!
This week we have been writing about London during the 17th Century as part of our Great Fire of London topic. We have been writing narrative and descriptive writing. In science, we have been researching the people who developed useful materials. Judging by the weather we have had recently, we think Charles MacIntosh created a very useful product!
Well done Year 2 for producing some amazing examples of work this week. Keep up the hard work!
Mr Arthur recorded the presentation of the star of the week certificates. We were
surprised that it went ahead without any hiccups and we are so pleased to share our stars of the week with you.
Congratulations to everyone and keep up the hard work!
As the new year begins, we are making essential changes to our school Nurture Room. Our ELSA staff have been working tirelessly to create a calming, homely environment to create a safe space for our children.
We are looking for a fish tank (with equipment if possible) to help bring all areas of the space together. If you are able to help, please contact the office so we can arrange collection/drop off and quarantine time.
We are so excited for you to see our new-look Nurture Room so keep an eye out for a post in the coming weeks with all the fantastic things we have to show.
Today saw the start of our much anticipated breakfast provision at Toner Avenue Primary School. Our breakfast elves worked tirelessly to provide every child with a healthy breakfast this morning; preparing bagels for 330 children is no small task!! Our kitchen team have been extremely helpful in ensuring the bagels are stored and cooked correctly so we’d just like to have a massive shout out to those guys; you’re amazing and thank you for all of your hard work in your already busy schedule.
Below is the allergen information for the bagels we have been provided by the National School Breakfast Programme. We hope you find this useful and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
We are so excited to announce our new breakfast provision will start on Monday 14th September!!
We are so lucky to be part of the National School Breakfast Provision that ensures every child is entitled to a breakfast bagel. If you would like further information, please click here.
As our school is a member of the Jasmine Platform, we have been given free access for parents to use at home with the kids. Keeping a healthy body and mind will be really important during the current climate.

Thanks to Miss Tait, Y2 had their first ‘First Aid’ session today.
We learned how to wash our hands correctly, including a song…ask us to sing it to you. It will help you to remember all the parts of your hands that need washing. We’ve been using the song in our regular hand washing times in school.
Then we learned how to help a friend when they had a nose bleed. Gloves on, head down and pinch their nose for 10 minutes.
Then we sorted items by whether they belonged in a first aid kit or not.
We can’t wait for our next session! Thanks Miss Tait for organising this for us!
