Communication is brilliant , staff always approachable had no issues , staff always happy and look after the kids well.

Outdoor play facilities, buddies, additional work to do at home so parents can get involved in what they’re learning (reading books, reading plus, etc)

The change in both of my children since they started with you has been phenomenal. Despite there being more children in the school, they have been treated as individuals in a way they never had been in school before and given the opportunity to thrive and really come into their own. Not once have they felt like an inconvenience/annoyance and as my son puts it, you get credit for being well-behaved without having to be naughty first. The school is well-organised and I haven’t yet met a member of staff who isn’t a credit to the school. External agencies have commented on the difference in approach from a SEND perspective and commended our decision to move them. Mrs McKenna has been really supportive and helpful when I’ve spoken to her.

I love the way staff always seem happy and always have time to talk to you, even if it is just a morning greet it’s always a lovely atmosphere, I really made a good choice sending my children to Toner avenue and they love it too.

The continuous addition of outdoor play things , a lot of varied trips, encouragement when pupils achieve well . Star of the week , awards week ,superhero maths etc great ideas . It gives the children incentives and encourages great behaviour with rewards .

Opal is fantastic! I think the opportunities for children outside surpass any other schools.

There is a good structure in place and a strong focus on encouraging children to be kind, well behaved and hardworking.
All the staff I’ve encountered throughout my years of being a parent of two children at Toner have been friendly, approachable, informative and supportive.
My children have always achieved well and it has always been a joy to come in to school for parent’s evenings and parent events. The parent events are a great experience and it’s wonderful to see the children in their classroom environment, engaging in daily lessons.
I think the school’s core values provide a good focus for the children, giving them clear goals to work towards and setting out a strong framework for what is expected of them.

The school is really well run – I love seeing Headmistress up front and centre every morning – true Leadership!! It just needs tweaks to make it even better!!!
