Persistently absent pupils are those who have missed 4 weeks of learning across the year and their attendance falls below 90%
This equates to them missing 20 school days of learning. Children who are persistently absent are closely monitored by Mrs Fullard and Emma Innerd and parents are invited in for regular meetings to improve attendance.
There is a strong correlation between persistent absent pupils and low attainment and outcomes at GCSE level.
