Day 1

We started our first morning with some canoeing around the beautiful Coniston lake where we had to work together to be able to move around. Our teamwork and communication skills were tested as we headed off onto the water. We finished with some competition games before we headed back for lunch. Our afternoon activity was a ghyll scramble at Stickle Ghyll where we scrambled upstream, guiding and supporting each other to the top before we all took a dive in the pool.

Day 2

We got our hiking boots on and headed for a mountain walk at Levers Water. We made a few stops to admire the views, explore a few caves and pick up ‘crystals’. Everyone was so determined and still full of energy when we returned so we spent some time on the climbing wall back at the centre – with a few tricky challenges thrown in there too.

Day 3

We went kayaking across the lake to the Bluebird Cafe where we enjoyed a delicious ice cream. Once we had finished our ice creams, we tried to stand in our kayaks and some of us even jumped in! Since we were already wet, we decided to do the famous Thurston jetty jump and have a little swim before heading back for lunch. After lunch and a dry down, we headed in to get some harnesses for our afternoon activity on the climbing trees. We all pushed ourselves to go as high as we could with a little encouragement from our friends.
