Year 3 had an excellent time when ‘That History Bloke’, Richard Stevenson came in to spend a day with us to launch our ‘Romans’ topic. We learnt how to write our names using the Roman alphabet with a bamboo pen and real Roman ink. After looking at some pottery, we designed our own pots using a Roman design. Playing with Roman games was great fun- we enjoyed learning ‘Three Men’ and ‘Knuckle Bones’. We played mystery object and found out some gruesome facts! To feel like true Romans, we dressed up in tunics and helped each other to make togas. We had fun, learnt lots and can’t wait to find out more about the rotten Romans!
