This week at Toner Avenue School we are celebrating World Book Day. We are not dressing up but your child will have the opportunity to engage in the world of books and story telling.
During the week, each class will be indulging in the works of familiar and unfamiliar authors, listening to staff sharing their favourite stories, discussing characters and producing work on their chosen author.
Your child will also receive their £1 Book voucher to spend at participating Book Shops.

Why are you not having dress up ? Every other school is and iv bn out and bought stuff thinking my granddaughters school would be too. So I’m not happy at all people don’t have money to waste these days and the school is always wanting you to spend money on this and that for no uniform red nose and children in need but when it’s fun for children you don’t include them in it
Hi. We are concentrating on reading activities and tasks for world book day, promoting the love of reading and story telling. We have had several dressing up days already this year, the latest raising lots of money for Daft as a Brush charity. Sometimes we need to pick and choose which national days to dress up for so we are not putting unnecessary stress or burdens on parents sourcing costumes etc.
