A belated welcome back to Toner Avenue. I hope that you all enjoyed your summer break!
The children have returned to school with excellent attitudes and are raring to go!
As always the single most important thing that parents can do with children at home is READ! This year Miss Cox has introduced an exciting new ‘Reading Karate’ initiative where children can earn ‘belts’ for the amount of times they read. You children know all about this, more information will follow!
As you can not fail to have noticed, the work on the new school has, eventually, started! Things are Progressing well and the foundations should be completed in the next week or so. we have lots of exciting opportunities planned for all of the children to visit the site and get involved, however I will leave that news to the ‘Konstruction Kids’! Watch this space…
We have made a few changes to timings within school, split play times in the junior buildings and different lunch times. All of this is to ease congestion on the yard! So far things have worked well!
