Our Year 6 children had an exciting afternoon at South Shields Fire Station today, as they took part in the Reducing Accidents at Play (RAP) Workshop.
They learned lots of valuable skills to make sure they are safe.
Topics covered included:
- What to do if a chip pan catches fire.
- How to stay safe now the nights are getting darker.
- What to do if there is a gas leak in the house.
- How to stay safe on public transport.
- How to enjoy the coast safely
- The dangers of playing near overhead cables.
The children thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and all received a ‘goody bag’ of reminders.
Head over to the Gallery Page to see more photos of the activities.
