Year 5 had a great time at Monkton Community Woodland for our welly walk on Monday!
Our aim was to observe the natural habitats of plants and animals, we found lots of interesting wildlife to look at, including different types of fungi, birds nests & insects.
During the rest of the week, we have been taking part in lots of fun activities such as leaf art; identifying & measuring leaves to use in our statistics work; and a debate on the question: Pigeons- a public menace or the perfect pet?
A great time was had by all & we can’t wait for our next welly walk!
