Before half term, year four CH were able to test their skills as ancient Egyptian inventors. Pupils were able to create a pint-sized shaduf, an invention used to lift water from the Nile.

We constructed our shadufs using cereal boxes, sticks, straws, string and small pots. We planned and discussed potential designs to ensure that our structures would be strong and sturdy.

We are definitely pleased with the results.
