Year 2 had a very fun but tiring day at the Great North Museum on Monday.

We visited so we could learn more about the African animals we have been learning about in class.

We looked at different animal’s fur and talked about how they adapted to their habitats. The lady at the museum was really impressed with our knowledge about animals and their habitats.

Then we used habitat bags to find out about the different animals…look at our photos wearing the different hats…can you tell what we are?

I’m so pleased at how sensible the children were, especially getting on and off the metro. The metro driver even stuck his head out of the window to say hello to us all when we got back to Hebburn.

I don’t know about all of the year 2’s but I definitely slept well on Monday night after all of that walking! It’s a good job we’re super fit and healthy! BIG BIG THANK YOU’S go to the parents and staff who came along to help us. We really appreciate it.

Have a lovely half term everyone!
