This week Year 2 have been learning about the Great Fire of London and how the fire spread.
They had an afternoon they’ll not forget on Monday! We had a street full of Tudor houses and then one in Pudding Lane caught fire! We watched as the fire spread from house to house.
The fire spread because of the wind blowing it along

The children then burst into song, singing London’s burning as the fire continued.
Luckily, we had Mr. Bryson on standby with a fire extinguisher and he was able to put out the fire safely. They weren’t as lucky in 1666.
We are looking forward to seeing all of your home projects and to answer our question ‘Fire; Friend or Foe?’ next week!
