Thank you to all of the parents who attended the meet & greet last week. It was lovely to see you all there.
Please see below all of the relevant information discussed:
– Our topics for this year are; Explorers (Neil Armstrong & Christopher Columbus), Our Local Area and Grace Darling
– Spellings & Homework. These will be handed out every Friday and should be returned the following Thursday. Please encourage your child to practice spellings and complete homework at home.
– Tricky word pots. These will be handed out half termly. Please practice with your child and ensure that they are brought back to school daily.
– Library. Once a week, the children will have the opportunity to choose a book to bring home. We only have specific times in which we can change your child’s book so please can you make sure that books are brought back every Monday morning.
– Reading books. Children will be given reading books to take home weekly along with a reading record. Please make comments in the reading record and encourage your child to read at home. Again, reading books should be brought into school daily to provide us with the opportunity to change them.
– PE. All children should have kit in school consisting of shorts, a white top and plimsols.
These will be sent home at the end of every half term to be washed.
