Yesterday our Toner Twisters took part in the South Tyneside Dance Festival. We had two performances and we were very excited!
We danced to a song from Moana – Where you are
Our fun started when we got in the Taxi the poor driver had to listen to our songs and talking!
When we got to the Customs House we were given our seats. We were performing in the second act so we could watch all of the dancers in the first part of the show. At the interval we went to our dressing room, we got our costumes on and we waited until it was our turn. We were sooooooooo excited we couldn’t believe it was going to be our turn to dance on the stage! We waited in the wings until Toner Twisters were announced……
We danced and danced and we were brilliant! When we came off the stage we just wanted to go straight back on! We went on for the finale and Mrs Hughes told us to wave and wave to our families.
After the performance we got our ‘packed teas’ and went on the grass to eat. We filled our tummies and then we had some time to play! We played hide and seek and chases and hairdressers and we took some selfies! It was great fun.
Then we had to go back inside for the second performance. Some of us were very tired and so were some of the children! Finally it was our turn to dance again and Mrs Hughes and Mrs Christer said we were even better the second time! They were so proud. We could hear our families clapping and cheering for us, it was great!
This morning we all got the Star of the Week award and we danced for the whole school in assembly, we feel like superstars and Mrs Hughes said that’s because we are superstars!!

Daisy – It was good dancing on the stage!
Jessica – I liked all of it!
Elise – I liked dancing on the stage and waving to everyone.
Amelia S – I liked dancing on the stage and waving to my mam and dad.
Beth – It was good, I liked it at the Customs House.
Ernie – I liked the finale and everything!
Gracie – I liked doing the dancing.
Ruby – I liked being on the stage
Zara – I liked the dancing and waving to my mammy and grandma.
Cerys – I loved it! It really was good and it really was fun!
Brandon – I liked the Customs House.
Lara – I liked dancing and eating!
Harley – It was good.
Sadie – It was fun.
