On Monday Y3 went to Arbeia Roman Fort in South Shields. We had a great time looking at replica building and ruins and imagining what life would have been like for the soldiers stationed there.
During our visit, we had the opportunity to see what it was like being an archaeologist where we carefully used a trowel to find remains of pottery and bone.
