WOW!
We’ve had such a busy but fantastic day!
First of all thank you to all of you donated £1 to wear non-uniform today, we particularly liked the brilliant KidSafe T-shirts the children had made and we even had children with purple hair!
Also thank you to our chair of Governors, Mrs Luke for organising huge cakes for our tuck shop and thank you to all of you who bought them with your cartons of juice!
Another thank you for the lovely Y4CH and Y2SC for being the BEST shopkeepers! It was so lovely to see the older children helping the younger ones. They all kept their station tidy for the new customers, counted money, had lovely manners and were so helpful! We are so proud of you.
So far we’ve raised over £400 for KidSafe. Some of the money will be used to make sure that Mrs McBarron and I can continue to train the children in Toner to be KidSafe, the rest of the money will be sent to KidSafe to ensure that this brilliant programme goes far and wide.
Val and Jude, the wonderful ladies who created KidSafe also visited our school today. Val cycled 23 miles (in the thunder and lightening!) to visit 11 KidSafe schools in the North East. We were lucky enough to be one of them. The children created banners and bunting to wave as they cheered them on. They were really impressed with the childrens KidSafe knowledge, the purple outfits and the welcome they received.
If you would like to find out more, please come and ask us, we’d love to tell you all about it.

Finally a big thank you to all of the staff at Toner who supported Mrs McBarron and I, by getting children to create bunting for our banners, by carrying cakes, by cleaning up, by finding purple clothes in the back of the wardrobe, getting classes to the right places at the right time and even forgoing their planning time to help! We really appreciate it!
