The Toby Henderson Trust (TTHT) is an independently funded charity supporting children and young adults with autism, their families, and carers in the North East.
They are the only charity in the North East focused on post-diagnostic support and life-changing early intervention with autistic children and young people.

South Tyneside are excited to introduce a new Parent Carer Forum for families of children and young people aged 0-25 with additional support needs and disabilities. It is an independent forum led by parents. They work in partnership with commissioners and services across health, social services and education.
The aim of the Forum is to help parents and carers share their knowledge of what works and what doesn’t work so well; to help support services focus their efforts on high quality support. They want to ensure that family voices are heard by planners and decision makers. They also aim to signpost parents to advice and information, to help them through their journey as carers of a disabled child or young person.

Year 4EM were in for a delicious morning this morning as we collected our tickets and boarded The Polar Express!
Once aboard, we were treated to a yummy hot chocolate with marshmallows and lots of squirty cream – it is Christmas after all!
We loved our film morning – well done to all of the children for completing their 20 reads.
From all of us here in 4EM and Toner Avenue, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year – can’t wait to see what 2021 brings!
Well… that was fun!
We danced, we sang, we photoboothed, we wrapped each other in loo roll, ate lots of sweets cakes and crisps and got chocolate all over our faces trying to get it from our forehead to our mouths! Oh and then we had a snowball fight with loo roll and made snow angels.
Everyone had a fantastic time!

OK everyone. I know that some of you could not view the video the way I uploaded it on Friday. I’ve been trying to sort it out by creating a YouTube channel for the school that I think might work. It did not help that even Google couldn’t escape 2020 unscathed and the whole server went down mid upload! Now everything is back on line I hope this works.

Today has been a very busy day at Toner Avenue. We recorded our performances for our Christmas Concert, it was Christmas jumper day AND we celebrated our Stars of the Week!
Congratulations to everyone and keep up the hard work!
This year has been different for all of us and one of the worst differences is that we all couldn’t gather at St Johns for our annual Christmas singing celebration. Although it isn’t the same we have worked in our bubbles to practice some songs and record them in a mini concert. We hope you enjoy it!
