Y2 are really enjoying their topic of Kenya.
We have recently been learning about the Maasai Mara tribe.
They wear lots of beads to make them look richer.
Lewis
We know what the mud huts are made out of: cow poo, mud, sticks and grass.
Lexi
We found out that the biggest mountains in Kenya are called Mount Kenya and Kilimanjaro.
Shaun
The mountains are so high that they have snow on top of them even though Kenya is really hot!
Mya
The Maasai leaders, who have to be men, kill animals for food. They drink their blood and their milk.
Nico
The men in the tribe, do a jumping dance to show off to the ladies!
Holly
They like to wear red and yellow because that is their favourite colour.
Grace
The women look after the children and they have to build the mud huts!
Olivia
This week, we made African Necklaces. We tried to put on as many beads as we could because that would make us look richer. We tried to use lots of colours and patterns like the Maasai Mara tribe.
Take a look at our photos below.
