School Council have been very busy this term. Elected school councillors met with their classes to discuss the elements they would like included on a brand new trim trail for the yard. They brought back these ideas and discussed them. They had a meeting with Pentagon Playgrounds to put forward their ideas. Watch this space to find out about their decisions to improve the yard and get fit and healthy too!
School council also discussed rewards that would encourage children to attend school. At Toner Avenue we all know how important it is to attend school every day and hopefully, these rewards will give the children lots of encouragement.
School councillors raised the issue of litter on the yard. They requested large bins so that children can use them to put in their waste fruit and milk. They also wanted to support reading for pleasure and have requested book boxes so that children can read at playtimes if they wish. Thank you Miss Cox for sorting these!
