Here are the photographs from the Year 3 Christmas Party. A fun time was had by one and all.
Merry Christmas from the Year 3 team.
On Friday 15th December all of Year 3 and the After School Club went to Monkton Stadium to compete in a Cheerleading Festival.
There was an array of activities including some apparatus, designing a cheer-poster and a long inflatable track to bounce on. These activities were in addition to practising our cheerleading routines.
In the afternoon, we had one last practise before the parents were allowed to watch the routines.
The winners of the cheer-award were Y3RK and the trophy now sits pride of place in the trophy cabinet in reception.
A great time was had by everyone and we would like to thank Kimberley for all of her hard work.
Some pictures of our wonderful Reception children in their performance of the Wriggly Nativity!
Today Reception had Christmas Lunch at the Cock Crow Inn! It was delicious. We were so lucky because we also had a very special visitor! Santa took time out from his busy day to visit us and bring us a present! We sang him some songs and then he had to go and feed his reindeer. Before we left we sang some Christmas songs for the customers who were having their lunch. They saw us sing last year and came back for more wonderful singing to get them in the Christmas spirit!
Merry Christmas everybody!
Today is Christmas jumper day and Y1SJ are in high spirits!
Here is a photo of us looking super smart ready for our Christmas lunch!
Merry Christmas from all of us!
A big thank you to all of our new Eco Committee members for their help this lunchtime!
We have been busy setting up an experiment on air pollution, we were sent some very special test tubes which will measure the air pollution in our area. The test tubes will collect air samples and they will then be sent away to be analysed. We will find out the results of the experiment in the new year, hopefully we will have a good result & Toner Avenue will have a low air pollution count.
Just a polite reminder- if you see the test tubes attached to the fence, please do not play with them as we may not get an accurate result!
Miss Feeney & Miss Jones.
Today Year 5 have been busy making some Willy Wonka style biscuits!
We are currently enjoying reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and hearing all about the marvellous chocolate inventor, Mr Wonka. Over the week we have designed our own treats with special characteristics, such as colour changing biscuits. We then went on to write some fantastic descriptions of our designs, and designed some eye catching packaging to try and sell our product.
We had a great time making our creations and we are now feeling prepared to get writing in the style of Roald Dahl.
Lucy & Jordan busy layering up their creations!
